Winning in the 4th Quarter

It’s the first week of the fourth quarter.  If you were planning on saving the best for last, NOW is the time to get it going.  It’s that time of year.  Time to do goals assessment and ask the really tough questions, again, especially because there are only three months left in this year.   How am I doing achieving my 2023 goals? I have to determine if the goals I set were the right goals for this year. If not, I need to recalibrate (very quickly). And, always, I need to make sure that my actions align with my aspirations so that I’ll be winning in the 4th quarter.

Fourth Quarter Adjustments

Hopefully, the first quarter, second quarter, and third quarter have gone well and exactly how you planned.  But, likely, even if things have gone well, they haven’t gone exactly how you planned.  Doesn’t matter.  Keep going.  There is still good time to finish strong.  If you are ahead, maintain the pace and the momentum and finish strong. If you are behind, do the fourth quarter adjustment and finish strong.  There is such a thing as changing the game plan, making big plays, running the score up and winning in the fourth quarter.

Fourth Quarter Accountability and Retreat

I’m looking forward to going full speed and spending more time with my “no excuses” accountability partners who challenge, inspire, and push me to execute at the highest level.  I’m also looking forward to my annual fourth quarter retreat that is focused on strategy to complete 2023 goals, but primarily an opportunity to chart 2024 goals.  NOW’S the time.  This is the time to put it all out there and go BIG.  As cancer survivors, we understand the importance of living with a new and different sense of urgency. There are dreams to follow and achieve after a cancer diagnosis. There is a new normal to redefine.

Ending the Year with Wins

I’m excited about rounding out this year and can’t wait to hear about your 2023 track record of winning in the 4th quarter.  Let’s do this, keep moving forward on Destiny’s Road and continue to remind ourselves that “Cancer won’t stop me. I’m claiming my destiny.”
